The purpose of this jobis:
The Finance Manager - FP&A & Projects supports commercial decision making across the Health Insurance business, turning financial and operational performance into insights that drive action. With afocus on strategic projects, the role shapes forecasting, annual planning and performance reporting, providing the Health Insurance Leadership Team and senior stakeholders with the clarity and challenge needed to make confident decisions and deliver key priorities.
Working across Finance and the broader business, the role brings together performance, planning and commercial thinking to uncover what is driving results, where value can be created and which risks need attention. By coordinating critical planning and reporting across a range of internal projects, it helps translate strategy into measurable business outcomes.
How will I help?
- Coordinate the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes for Health Insurance projects working with finance and business stakeholders to deliver integrated and appropriately challenging plans.
- Provide accurate, timely and insightful financial and operational performance reporting for the Finance Director, Health Insurance Leadership Team and relevant governance forums.
- Analyse performance against plan and forecast, identifying key drivers, trends, risks and opportunities and recommending practical actions.
- Prepare monthly project reporting, commentary and planning submissions for Group FP&A, Group Financial Control and relevant Corporate Centre stakeholders.
- Partner with Finance Business Partners and business leaders to improve the quality of forecasts, strengthen accountability and support informed commercial decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial models and analysis to assess business cases, investments, growth opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate financial inputs and analysis for Health Insurance deep dives, planning discussions and other key business reviews.
- Work closely with Actuarial and Finance teams to align assumptions and develop an integrated view of Health Insurance performance and outlook.
- Identify and deliver improvements to planning, forecasting, reporting and governance processes, including better use of data, systems and automation.
What you’ll need to make it possible:
You bring strong commercial thinking and deep FP&A experience gained within a large, complex organisation. With the ability to connect financial and operational performance, you quickly identify the drivers behind results and turn complex information into clear insights that shape strategic decisions.
Confident across budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning and reporting, you know how to maintain momentum, balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes. Your strong business partnering skills enable you to influence senior stakeholders, constructively challenge thinking and build trusted relationships across the business.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline, together with a CA or CPA qualification, will provide a strong foundation for success. Strong analytical capability, experience improving finance processes and reporting, and the ability to lead or develop others will position you to make a meaningful impact.
