The purpose of this job is:

To support our Dentists in delivering exceptional patient care by providing efficient chairside assistance before, during and after appointments. This role includes all aspects of Dental Assisting, such as instrument sterilisation, maintaining a clean and well-presented surgery, stock management and ordering, while ensuring the highest clinical standards are upheld.

As part of our cross-trained team, you will also receive administration training and assist with patient bookings, billing and payments, records management, and responding to patient enquiries, helping to provide a seamless and positive patient experience.

What you’ll need to make it possible 

  • Experience preferred, a Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly regarded; however, we encourage all candidates with a genuine passion for a career in dental assisting to apply.
  • Demonstrated chair-side assistance skills, including instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays, and sound knowledge of dental instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of infection control, with the ability to clean, prepare, and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in line with BDC procedures and WHS requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, modern, high-volume dental practice while contributing positively to a supportive team culture.
